Squeaky brakes....
04 CLK 500 with ~16k miles and I'm having some loud brakes squeak for the first few minutes of driving. I've noticed it's louder if its an exceptionally hot day. The dealer said there is nothing the can do.
Are they feeding me a line? Sorry if it's a dumb question. I'm not mechanically inclined.

It's a well known issue with certain MB's and the 209's are a major victim, the dealer's will change your pads and rotors at least one time for this issue if under 12,000 miles or one year, since you're over it will take some negotiating on your part with the service mgr. I've had this issue and the only way to cure it was new pads/rotors, the anti squeal paste etc did not work and hard braking did not permanently cure the squeal either. Try one thing though; find a quiet road and get the car safely up to speed in reverse and apply the brakes firmly and evenly until a full stop; repeat this several times and see if this helps as this may remove some of the glaze which is causing the noise.

I also have this problem. When i first start my car and drive off, I would stop at a stop sign of a light, just right before my car comes to a complete stop i would hear the squeaking. Is this a similar situation to your brake squeaks? I know its not the pads, it really feels like its the rotor thats making the squeaks.
I have taken my car in countless times to have them checked, and everytime the dealer says its normal and that it happens with a lot of the new MBZs. I think they are just jerking my leg tho, I am gonna go back to the dealer next week to have them checked AGAIN.
My break squeaks a lot when its raining, or if the road is wet..and not on a hot day tho. But its usually the most squeaking when i first drive my car or raining.
My car is at 10300 miles, so I will do another oil change, been about 3000 miles..so ill have my car checked up with the brakes.

I wouldn't recommend doing this, but it stopped my squeaking problem. I was mounting my new rims onto my car so I needed to clean the rust off of the wheel hub. To do that I used WD40, and a good amount of it leaked onto the brake rotor. After that my brakes stopped squealing.

I had this with my brand new car - drove me nuts as the squeaking was really loud. Took it to MB 3 times in the end and it was finally solved. They pretty much too the wheel off, the brake assembly etc and then all back together. It was much reduced but not gone. Then one day I was so pissed off, I slammed the brakes on full. I came to a halt. Got out, all mad.... got back in... drove off, squeak gone.
So either shouting at your car for annoying you or the slamming on fixed it. You figure out which one had more chance of success

RJC is got you going down the right path . I when through siminar issues also , But the brake dust was really bad also . So I took it apond myself to go for the Fix. I install EBC green pads on all 4 wheels. I put some note on another forum. If you would like to view it , go to
AMGPOWER.com. scroll down to CLK55. Look for Brake pad dust Author PTE. It was not expensive.
