New CLK Cabrio gets Vario-Roof!

The new CLK Cabrio gets a Vario-Roof:
It is out! The new Mercedes CLK Cabrio gets a hood made of metal. Thus the Cabrio variant of the recently introduced CLK will be the third Cabrio with vario roof of the Stuttgart automobile manufacturer following the SLK and SL. What the photos let us suspect, our photographer saw in person: The folded slab roof consists of three segments, from which the foremost section probably slips under the center section. Afterwards the whole roof folds, admits and disappears like the SLK's one - in sandwich manners together in the trunk. It is unfortunately not allowed to photograph, however because of legal reasons.
Nevertheless: The metal roof deck camouflaged with cloth shows swung forms and an elegant line, the somewhat ugly cloth roof of the current CLK Cabrios will soon belong to the past. Completely uncovered, the car will be presented to the public next spring on the Geneva automobile salon.
