Question on Bi-Xenon Installation

I dropped my car off today at my body shop to install a set of OEM Bi-Xenon headlights on my car. (2005 CLK500). My car did not come with Bi-Xenon’s. Now the guy told me that I need the wiring harness for the lights. Can anyone help me out on what he means, and how to get this piece?
Thanks again

From what I've read on here, you shouldn't need a wiring harness, but you will need to have a MBZ dealer change the setting in your ECU to "bi-xenons--present" using the Star diagnostic tool. If you don't the lights just flicker. Is that why your body shop guy is saying you need a new wiring harness, or is he saying the new lights won't physically connect up with your current harness?

Yeah, he is saying the lights wont physically connect. Something about the stock lights wire harness only comes with a single. And the Bi-xenon comes with two.
Thanks

They are literally plug and play. The guy doesn't know what he is doing OR you have an aftermarket NON OEM bix lights.....

Defiantly not plug and play. And yes, OEM bi-xenon. I guess Im going to have to take it to the dealership and pay for 2 working hours of work at a RAPE rate.

they ARE plug and play. one connector will remain unconnected as your car will not have the levelling sensors installed. Also, your Ignition Switch (EIS) needs to be set so XENON = PRESENT or your lights will flicker

03 CLK500, 04 X3, No 07 GT3RS :(
Why don't you just pop the hood and try to do it yourself so that you understand if there's really an issue.

Go here: www.mbenznl.com and e-mail him to get quote/order. I ordered a set from him last week.
