Door frozen
Hi everybody. When it is really cold like these days overhere. I got problems opening my car doors. Somtimes i can't open them at all and have to wait till the ice is melt away! Can somebody give me a good advice beside parking in a garage. Maybe there is some kind of wax or sth. that can put on the window to prevent the whole thing!?

same problem here but when you just pull the door with force it opens, otherwise if i was stuck i think i would get some hot water from the house and pour it on the window area...is that advised??

Leave a window open just the slightest amount to allow the moisture-rich warmer air in your car to escape after parking the car? It may be frozen water vapor that is causing the door to stick.... Otherwise you may try some silicone spray? on the door seals. Another trick, for ice- and snow-free windows in the morning is to put a blanket or car cover over them at night....

Sorry to revive an old thread but this happened to me this morning.
Will pulling the door open cause any damage to the rear window since the rear does go down slightly when the door is opened.

this use to happen to me all the time when i had my clk. what i did was at aid auto store, pepboys, or what ever auto parts store is by you. they should sell a spary deicer. that worked the best for me plus no need to worry about the glass
