ahy....that day is finally coming. I know there will be debates and comparisons between the new and old CLK as far as style and performance. I still get alot of mix feelings when I see/hear news about W209.
But, I don't ever regret getting the last year model of W208. I love my car and I am sure many of W208 owners felt the same way.

2003 clk cab
I'm glad that my '03 clk430a is based on
the 208 style as well. Before I ordered
my car, I had narrowed it down to a
lexus sc430, and the clk430. The 209,
although nice, lacks the distinction and
classic styling of the current model. I'm
hopeful that my car will arrive here soon;
it was scheduled to be built on 8/1/01.

A lot of people have thier own opinions about which is better & that is what makes this forum great!!! Everyone can express his/her feelings and no one else can say other wise. I personally like the W208 body better, because it has more of an E-class feel even though it is built on the C-class chasis. The W209 is more the current C-class than I would like, but I really like the look of the 500 with the AMG bodywork! I'm sure in a few years I will have grown to love the car (hopfully), because I want the W209 55 AMG!!!! ONLY TIME WILL TELL
