why have the kompressor badge if u dont have that engine and amg badge if it isnt an amg? dont wanna flame just never understood that
i dono i just felt like putting something extra on the car, im happy with it.. i am currently looking into modifying the engine tho weather it be a mod. chip or some kind of supercharger
nice. i would take that kompressor badge off and leave the v8...thats what i did, but to each his own. where in jersey do u live? do u get pulled over alot for not having that front license plate? i am debating taking mine off and putting those bumperplugs on.
The car still looks great, what you like is your style. I did notice the badges, they are aesthetically pleasing. However, it would be great if you were packin a whole lotta ponies under that hood. Keep up the mods and post pics with everyone

well i live in si but i also have residency in perth amboy, its funny u asked about the front, when i 1st got the car there was no bracket on the front and i liked the way it looked so i just never put it on but i do travel w/ the plate.. as for getting pulled it happend like 2 days ago but its never been for that that knock on wood it was for tinted windows 90 each window and the cop didnt look at the front so i was lucky
lol funny...im a resident also...doing a general practice dental residency at monmouth. I get heat all the time from attendings on how a resident isnt supposed to drive a benz let alone a clk500
CLK 500 and AMG badges are lookin a little wierd together.. you may wanna drop one off.. didnt u get the amg suspensions along with the amg package, because the car doesn't look that low.. anyway, nice ride with the tints... also you may wanna raise the silencer a little up.. would look much better...
Hmm...the AMG Badge is fine, as long as you have AMG products on your car. I have the badge in the back of mine, and I find it ok since there are AMG rims on it. Saw a bunch online with the V12 badge in back, but didn't see one that said SL600 ///AMG. Maybe later on or so, I might remove everthing in the back and only keep the V12 Badges on the sides. Man, my two favorite visual aspects of that car are the V12 Side Badges and the V12 Shifter.

the AMG badge on the rear signifies that you have an AMG engine, when you don't. You already have AMG stamped on the wheels.
idk like i said before im happy with the way my car looks, i just wanted to add a little something extra to it, i may take off the kompressor part though but any mercades enthusiast will know its not an amg engine so i really dont think it matters that much

Eh, its just a visual modification. Not saying you or anything, but I can't stand those people who dish out the insults just cause someone badged their car as an AMG. I read a post a month ago where someone trash talked and insulted someone who put an ///AMG Badge on a C280 or something. It was ridiculous. The Kompressor badge is a different story, that you should remove. But the ///AMG...keep it...Especially if your car is sporting the AMG body kit and wheels. As long as ///AMG comes after your car model (320, 500, 600), then it refers to upgrades. Only when you apply the complete badge of an AMG vehicle on your non AMG car...then you are flaunting what's not really yours. I didn't badge my car as a 73 nor did you as a 55. The following badge only represents the original AMG options/upgrades on our vehicles.
I say keep the AMG badge, you have every right to.
I never put it on to fool anyone, I simply liked the look of it on the back and meant it to signify the modifications I did to the car. If I wanted to fool other driver's (which I did not), I would've badged it a 73 (or a 60). But Chi, does it really bother you that people put badges on their cars? I really could care less if someone with a 320 badged their car as a 600...let them have some fun. It is not my goal to criticize you Chi, so please take no offense, I just diagree and want to explain why I believe it is ok.

Actually, yes, it does bother me when people AMG badges on non-AMG cars. You car is in a grey area because it actually is a 600 and people with 320's who put fake badges on their cars are trying to make it look like a more expensive trim level, but you do have the top trim level for your model. I hate it when people try to make a "lesser" car look like a more expensive one. The AMG badge carries prestige, but people think they can add that prestige and illusion of performance by tacking on a $10 badge. But in your case, I think it just looks odd to have an AMG badge on a 600 beause AMG didn't make 600 AMGs.
On a different note, do you have pics of your AMG upgrades?
Will make a cardomain page when all is done. I just think it looks very slick when the back says SL600 AMG. You are entitled to your own opinion and so am I. We can debate further, if you wish... .
