Carefully?

The longer the badges have been on the car the harder they are to get off, I have seen the adhesive remove the paint. If your car is dark in colour and you live in a hot climate leave the car in the sun, otherwise you need a heat gun to loosen the adhesive.

Take it to a panel shop and they take it off for $20, they also can remove any adhesive residuel on the paint work.

debadge

Well,

i debadged my car last week. believe it or not, i used dental floss. just cut a long piece of dental floss and slide it between the badge and the 3M glue. move then left and right until the badge comes off. then using a blow dryer, heat up the glue and remove it using a dry cloth. at the end of your job, clean with alcohol and polish! hope this helps.!

I never understood why people would debadge their car (unless they are trying to make a high powered car a sleeper or a car with a crap engine a higher model). Do you just like the look of it better? Now that I think about it...I guess it does give the back a nice clean look.

when I debagded my car, I used the plain side of a spatula and SLOWLY detached the part... then I waxed the surface...
