Alarm sound
Today I was cleaning up my garage, and was messing with the cars too. Then a bright idea hits me... Hey, I've never heard how my alarm sounds That was a dumb idea, I tell you... In case you guys don't know, it's very high pitch and very different from all other makes.
And a word of advice, don't turn it on inside a garage, while you're in it too. I think I've damaged my ear drums

hahaha, i did that with my 2001 clk 55. The car was parked in the garage, locked (out of habit of pushing the button) with windows down, i knew i would turn the alarm on if i opened the door from the inside, but i didnt think it would be that bad....i thought it would be like my 98 s500's alarm...just a stupid little horn. BIG MISTAKE.. i almost fell over backwards from the suprise that it wasnt the horn and because it was SO LOUD!
and come to think of it...the dealership never gave me a complete walkthrough to even know what the alarm sounded like in the first place.

I think that high pitched alarm sound is actually a good thing, in case your car is being broken into. Plus you can hear higher pitches farther away than you can with lower ones. That alarm is pretty painful, I experienced it when the idiot salesman decided to voluntarily demonstrate it.

I understand its purpose, I just hate the noise it makes. I was once out with a girl and we were in a parking lot looking for my car. She said "why don't you hit the alarm" so I did and she started laughing. She was like "you have this sick car with such a girly alarm." ...then I started it up and it regained its manhood.
