Changing Coolant

My 2004 CLK320 is now 2.5 years old and has 65K KM on it. I was told by my friend that it's time for the coolant to be changed. Is this right?

How about the themostat? Should it be changed at the same time?

Sounds too soon to me.....what does the owners manual say? I believe your car was delivered with extended mileage coolant good for 250K KM or 5 years. No need to change the thermostat unless it's broken and causing engine temperature problems.
