bi-xenon on w209

Hello... i have a question...i already searched about this on the forums but couldnt find anything conclusive.
on a w209 CLK of 2005 (after restyling) to install bi-xenon is any other wiring harness needed?
i have normal lights... i pluged&play the bi-xenon and everything works except the low beams...(the xenon bulb) ...
shouldn't all work out fine with a simple plug&play? thanks.

You gotta have the computer set to Xenon=present at the dealership or else they wont work!

G63, AMG GT S
I went into mb of Beverly Hills today and the parts guy told me that the reason why a swap would be so hard is because of the difference in temperature, and supposedly, the bi xenons have some chip or something that keeps them cool? He told me it would be near impossible to walk into an mb dealership and have the service department set the computer.

I dunno if he was lying to me, but from what I got, he made it clear that a bi xenon install on a non xenon mb would be extremely hard.

its rather simple, and everyone can do it... just set xenon=present.
takes 2 minutes to do it.

Steve, i'm still at the same point... i went to my dealership and they don't have that procedure on they're WIS.
they have the 2005 version... is this modification on 2006?
can you tell me what do i need to buy?
just some wires?
do i need any aditional modules? thank you.

Hello my friend, thanks for your reply about this...

but can you help me a bit more?
can you give me part numbers?.. please?
my dealership has no idea on how to do this... and i was supposed to give them instructions.
Ok so i need 1 new wiring harness... do you have part number?
also i need 1 xenon control unit... you have the part number?
...front and rear axle are not necessary.
1 light switch for Xenon ... what is this necessary for?

again my friend, thanks for everything

Ps. I bought them on ebay... around 700USD...with shipping

hey Flave,

I brought my set from ebay too, and it's plug and play. the pic of your xenon looks different from mine. I tried the xenon on yesterday w/o removing the oem light . i just plug it to the xenon and it turns on (low beam) Mine is 04 clk 320.. well good luck w/ the lights, btw how did you get the bumper off? Now i need to remove my bumper to install the lights. cuz i know it will work.

2008 CLK350
Talking Solved!

I have a W209 CLK350 2008. And I also had the exact same setup and bi-xenon swap.

Once the xenon=present setting is set in the car the rest is a simple fix.

The new headlight unit simply needs another ground from the active cornering plug [see picture]. Keep in mind that the ground is the same on both sides, closest to the flat edge of the plug.

In the picture the shop spliced the ground (Dynomite05's W209). In my car I simply grounded the wire to the frame.

Hope this helps! Cheers
