I just received my Sept. 2002 Architectural Digest issue and MB has a 10 page ad of the new CLK 500, starting with the inside cover. It shows a silver ext. model, stone interior pics, and talks about a special edition made for Saks 5th Avenue. "This Special Edition model will be displayed at 61 Saks stores during the weekend of Sept. 18-21 and will be sold through participating MB dealerships. Available with an exclusive color combination of a Saks Fifth Avenue blue exterior and stone leather interior, each CLK 500 includes a customized ltd. ed. cashmere blanket, sterling silver key ring, leather notepad and wallet, all designed by Baldessarini for Hugo Boss." Apparently some proceeds will go to benefit breast cancer research. They don't really show a clear picture of the special blue color, but you can see it in the background behind a model, on the last page of the ad. It sort of looks like the european color "iolite blue." Sorry there aren't any pictures, but I don't have a scanner.

 

It may be the new color for the W209 "Iced Blue".

It might be, I haven't seen Ice Blue yet. The color in the mag was dark blue, with a hint of green.

 

If that is the case, then it would not be Iced Blue. This color is a light blue with no hint of green what so ever. Now, I not sure what color it could be!!

I think it is probably iotlite blue, that is the only color we didn't get in the US, which is actually a pretty nice blue, I think there were some pictures of it a while back

 

The ad says the color is custom for this promotion, so I doubt it will be available on the order system, although it looks very much like iolite blue.
