E550
Having just gone from a CLK500 to an E55 about a month ago, the only thing i miss about the CLK is the pillarless part when all the windows are down. The E55 will not disapoint you in any aspect.

I'll know in the next few days if I'm getting the E55. Glad to hear you like it !

It seems that the lease deal as been extended so you now have a lot of time to look.

Yes it has The car I was waiting for (details below) will be at the dealer hopefully by Tues/Wed of this coming week. If the test drive goes well and the price is right, the CLK500 will be disposed of at the dealer and the E55 will be coming home.

2006 E55 AMG
Iriduim Silver Metallic w/ Charcoal leather
Premium Package (active vented and drive dynamic seats, dvd command, rear shade, 6 cd player)
Pano Roof
Keyless
Lighting
Trunk Closer (I really did not want this option)

I've asked the dealer to do the PDI but leave all protective plastic etc in the car and NOT to put any miles on except for 1-3 for the tech to do the PDI. I'm also hoping the car has tires other than the Conti 2's, if not, I'll see if the rims/tires can be swapped from another MB that has Pilots.

Did you find someone for your CLK? I know you've been trying to get rid of it!

Brake squeal fix-RJC

How did you fix your brake squeal? You mention in an above post that you fixed it.

Thanks

I replied to your PM, but for others that might want to know...I purchased an after market rotor to replace the one making noise and the squeal is 100% gone. BTW MB has a DTB out for an updated brake pad designed to help with the squealing. MB has been having vendor problems and for some models rotors have been affected.
