I might switch to a CLK
I'm thinking of selling my w211 and going with a CLK 500 coupe. Can you guys give me feedback on your cars? What does the 500 come with standard? I'm probably going to go with a lease ..... should I wait for the 550's? etc, etc, etc....

I've always LOVED the CLK. I had a 2000 or a 2001, can't remember, back in the day. It's a great little coupe. In terms of the new W209s, the one thing that I absolutely LOVE, that every W209 owner will tell you, are the pillarless windows. With the front and rear windows down, you get one HUGE open window and I think it's AWESOME!
I compared my CLK to a friends '05 320, and one thing we noticed were the seats. The seats in my '06 are more bolstered than his, and to me, this is a plus as I'm no granny on the road.
Power is great on both the 350 and the 500. Either one really is a good choice. My ownly downside for the 350 is that it does not come with the AMG package, which to me, adds a lot of "GRRR" to the car. The stance of the 350 added with the small tires and rims looks wimpy at some angles. Although, when I drive by a mirrored building and glance, I always think to myself "What a sexy car."
Every CLK in the US pretty much comes standard with the premium package and the rear airbags. The 500 comes with the AMG sports package as well. The 500 has a dual AMG exhaust as apposed to the 350s single. At the end of the day, you're left with NAV, wood wheel (although this eliminates the shift buttons on the rear), Keyless Go, Lighting, and Comfort, Rear Trunk closer, and the phone kit. I was told by my dealership that the new CLKs no longer come with the rear sunshade as an option bundled with the sunroof.
I say go with a 24 month lease on a 500 or 350 and get the 550 when it expires in two years.
