Let's see if he answers?
Subj: CLK 500

I called MB USA 1-800 number to ask when the CLK 500 that I ordered would be released. I had sold my CLK 430 and am paying for a rent a car. The CLK 500 cleared customs in Jacksonville 26 days ago. My dealer cannot get an answer.
Anyway, when I called yesterday to ask, I was treated very rudely on the phone. This sort of hubris is not part of a good sales experience and is making me reconsider my decision.
My wife and I both drive Mercedes.
My only questions is when exactly will the car be released?

Most dealers in S. Florida say that both E and CLK will be in showrooms by the end of this month.
The Miami MB dealer told me yesterday, that it will be the 20th or 21st.

My dealer told me he has a CLK320 at the VPC with the Status of READY TO SHIP. He said this means that it will be on a truck in 1-2 days. Too bad it is not mine.
He also told me that his MBUSA Rep is saying that CLKs will be in showrooms starting the 12th. E's have been delayed until September 1st.
We'll see.

Heh, I've already seen both...
the '03 CLK320 and '03 CLK500 (as well as touch and sit in both). Unfortunately, I'm not at liberty to say where since I was given only a very brief sneak peek. I was very impressed though! Hope that you ordered the Bi-Xenons as they change the front end of the car dramatically.
