Perhaps get a W208 V8 coupe (AMG55 or 430) with nice wheels.
If you're worried about "chick vs. manly" image, then maybe the cabrio and any V6 versions are not for you.
Broadly speaking, however, my 2 cents would be to ignore this stuff and just get the car you like. Get the most fun-to-drive car within your budget that meets your general/practical needs.

Now that I have my own 208, guys always compliment me on the car and wish it were theirs! Either way and no matter the year--at the end of the day, it's a fierce piece of machinery!
Just my opinion.....

white and whiter
the CLK w208 or w209 has always had more female buyer than male buyers, so yes it is a chick car.
but it's better than the w203 for being a MOM's car.![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
however one thing is certain that rarely females buy AMG model range.

Y'know - I just can't see the 209 as more "feminine" than the 208.
I don't see any women driving them! I see women driving 3-series all the time. But not the CLK. Might be a fluke - but true.
