ready to order
I am getting ready to order clk 320. Wanting to know if anyone has seen it in black opal ash interior or the firemist red stone interior. Was at the dealership in chicago today saw a black clk 320 and a black clk 500 both cars where sweet both cars where sold. Let me know what you think.
If you have any pics of clks in these colors please post.

Welcome to Board.
I saw the CLK 320 Black Opal Metallic at a dealer in S. Florida yesterday. Black Opal is a great color, it has a lot of depth, richness.
The ash interior was too light, too sensitive and just too much contrast for my taste.

Hello... Mine is a Black Opal CLK500 with Ash...
I don't care what they say, I think Black Opal is the best color on W209!!! hehe
I love how the color changes in different light settings, you see black, navy, dark green, purple... and I'm sure you'll love it too!
However, I would go for the charcoal interior instead of ash...
I'm keep telling myself that ash looks great, and it does look great, but charcoal interior is much sportier and sexier...
I would not go for 2-tone interior b/c the colors they offer (grey/blue/red) and the aluminum trim just don't go well with black opal...
anyways, these are just my personal opinion...

The sales person for mercedes is saying that the best choice for black opal is the ash interior. I do like the contrast between the two. Is there any other reason why you would of chose charcoal interior.

I've actually never seen a Black Opal W209 with charcoal. I'm just saying that if you look at just the interior, charcoal interior is far better looking than ash. If you like the dark exterior/light interior combo, you should get Black Opal/ash like me.

I saw the clk 500 black opal with charcoal interior today at Santa Monica dealership and I have to say it was even better than I had hoped. Definitely the BEST color combination in my opinion. I am very happy

I know its not a real picture.. but here goes:
And here is the color which I WISH was available in the US (the color that sold me on a CLK500..) - Iolite Blue:
I know there's not a huge difference.. but the Iolite Blue is more of a dark metallic blue, while Black Opal is black with a blue tint.
