In-Dash Woofer?

In-Dash Woofer?
I just went to the dealer and checked them out, and all I can say is WOW! I am driving a BMW 323Ci now and am so ready to dump it! I have a silver/charcoal 500 scheduled to go into production 9/20, but after seeing a pewter/charcoal SL (and those pics of the 500 in this forum) and I am seriously thinking about changing to pewter since I don't think it will delay my order and is a pretty damn nice looking. Oops - getting sidetracked! 
Anyway, I left with a catalog and noticed that it says that there's a 'fill' speaker and 9" woofer built into the dash... My buddy was right in the middle of trying to sell me his 8" bazooka woofer when I noticed it in the catalog. Did I midinterpret that? Is there really a 9" woofer in the dash?

Your are right, it's right in the damn brochure I have.
Here is what is says,
"Bose sound system with 8 speakers, including a dash-mounted center fill speaker and 9.1 Nd Neodymium Iron Boron high-effciency woofer."

The center fill speaker is dash-mounted.
The 9.1" woofer - I am certain - is not mounted in the dash, because of possible damage to the delicate instrumentation.
Since base sounds are non-directional, the woofer is probably mounted in the back of the car, - it's traditional place/area/space.
A 9" right in the dash would be nice!

To those who have already acquired their new CLK, would you guys happen to know the locations of all the 8 speakers in this car? You are right about how tricky the wordings in the brochure can be. Thank you!
