Hi guys, would like to introduce my CLK 500 i got few months back. I do love the look, engine and build quality. Would like to ask if you dont know where to get a bumper lip on this preface version.
I wanted a wheel that harkens back to factory options. I like building vehicles that look like they could have been a factory tuned option. So I went with a rotary forged light weight multi spoke wheel. I’ve ordered some custom sized MBZ center caps because this particular TSW wheel didn’t have the factory sized center cap hole like some of the other styles, it has the smaller sized center cap hole.
We have an in-house machine shop so I machined the wheels from 5-114.3 to 5-112 to get the offsets I wanted without having to use spacers. We rolled and trimmed the rear fenders, stock suspension.
I installed an OE Tuning tune, she will be getting a smartTOP controller, clear ceramic tint to cut heat and UV but keep the fishbowl look, and a paint wrap (I’m not the biggest fan of black cars, especially living in Arizona, but mechanicals and mileage were good so I bought a black car from out of state).
I was going to do H&R coil overs, but the factory height actually doesn’t look as bad as I thought it would, so I’m not too worried about that. I’ll probably still swap sway bars for the H&R.
I bought this at Mecum Auctions for $9k. It’s super clean with 55k miles. Runs and drives great!
Had to fix a few issues. Thanks to the boards for help on some of these fixes.
1. Convertible Top Relay Switches Replaced (top would not go all the way up or down consistently but no loss of fluid or leaks) - thanks To Klause Witte at Top Hydraulic

3. Replaced Driver’s Seat Belt Buckle (fix seat belt telltale staying on regardless of seat belt position) thanks FCP!

Picked this little gem up a few months ago as a second car for my mom to enjoy in her retirement. Put some 18" R230 AMG wheels on it and retrofitted OEM bixenon headlights.
Just picked up this CLK. Still waiting on it to be delivered. It was in Victoria Australia and it’s being sent up to me in NSW.
Looks like it’ll arrive a couple of days before Christmas 🤞
