It might be C209, I remember coupes start with C. Long wheelbase sedans are W, short are V I believe.
I need to fix all of those. If you know of any corrections, please email me at ricky.agrawal@gmail.com and I'll be glad to look into it more.

Whoops, posted an unrelated message to this thread sorry
But to add to this anyway - I believe they are generally known as W209 but lesser used C209 is valid also - and A209 is the convertible.

W=Wagen, which is German for "car", Generally, all chassis codes are W's, but they do like to get specific sometimes. For example, with cars that are offered as coupes and cabriolets, the use C (coupe) and A (cabriolet) to specify them, but you can still use "W" to generically refer to that chassis code. The roadsters (SL, SLK, SLR) are almost always prefixed as R, but is someone were to talk about a W230 or W171, I don't think they would be run out of town with torches and pitchforks. They also used the X prefix for certain SUVs, but this gets more complicated. The W164 is the 2nd generation ML. The X164 is the 1st gen GL that is essentially a stretched 2nd gen ML. The W166 is the 3rd gen ML (renamed GLE in later years) and the X166 it the GL (now GLS) stretched version of that vehicle. The W204 is the 3rd gen C-Class (sedan and coupe) but the X164 is the 1st (and only) gen GLK, which is a compact SUV based on that C-Class chassis.

Here: is my twopence halfpenny worth regarding the last gen CLK
C209 is the factory designation for the last gen. CLK Coupe
A209 is the factory designation for the last gen. CLK Convertible / softtop.
W209 is the factory designation for the last gen. CLK Chassis inclusive of all body types (from 2002 for 2003 model year).
Appreciating, there was a facelif available from 2005 for both C209 and A209 or (w209).
Of note: 2006 was a very special year. As:
CLK 55 AMG still available.
CLK 500 special order m273 5.5 litre quad cam available, which was renamed CLK 550 for 2007.
CLK 63 AMG available and of course the abiity to order the Black Series 63.
C208 is the factory designation for the early gen. CLK Coupe (from 1997).
A208 is the factory designation for the early gen. CLK Convertible / softtop.
W208 is the factory designation for the early gen. CLK Chassis inclusive of all body types from 1997 to 2002.
A209 is the factory designation for the last gen. CLK Convertible / softtop.
