Angry Tinted window scratched...

I read this on C32Life, so did my C-class.
I thought W209 could be better designed

but I'm telling you, I'm wrong ! it scratches if you tinted.
Anyone has solution to it ?

Window tint film is often applied to the inside of windows to shade passengers or provide privacy. to clean tinted windows, use water or a mild cleaner such as Eimann Fabric Clear Vision

Tint film that has been scratched can be polished with cleaners designed for the vinyl windows often found on convertible tops. The product i would recommend is Plexus. It comes in an aerosol spray can and is safe to use on plastic, plexiglass and window tint film.

Nooooooooo this has been discussed a billion times..

You need to change the window lining to molehair (the place on the door where the window rises from within the door frame), or something with equivalent softness. The OEM window lining will scratch any window tint.

Is the molehair easy to replace?

I can't help you beyond that. I believe Mach430 has had his windows tinted and had the linings switched out.

I believe it has to be a custom job. They cut out the new lining, rip out the old one, and replace it.

I'm thinking of doing it myself if it's not that hard.

Mach430?

Likuid,

I know, I was just curious if anyone else ever replaced it and if it was a simple thing to do. I have tints on my car and don't want them scratched.
