CLK320 Synthetic Mobile oil question.

Hi Guys,
I just bought a used CLK320, 2001 and wanted to get the oil changed.
I know I am supposed to use Synthetic Mobil but, I searched and it seems like they have different grades.
My question is this which one should I use.
Also, how often should I get the oil changed, I searched and I hear 5000 to 10000, I guess 7500 miles between oil changes is reasonable/safe.
Does this car really take 8.5 quarts of oil?
Thanks for your help in advance.

I have different body style but same motor.....a message will pop up on your display telling you when it's time to change oil (FSS, Flexible Service System) Make sure you use pure synthetic oil and the correct (felt) filter. I'd use 0-40 weight. Yes, holds 8.5 qts, and goes about 12K miles between changes. STFF for more information.
