Nav DVD

Read a post on new E series. Nav will not be available until spring 03 for the new E. If you purchase it now and wait, they will give a $500 discount. When it arrives it hooks right up. What about the CLK. Why are we buying the old CD based system? Are we lower class citizens for MB. The cars cost about the same price.

The DVD system is available right now on the 2003 M Class. I know, my '03 ML500 has it. Go figure.

Yes, it sure seems that the new CLK is regressive re design and features compared to the new E, which surely is a progressive step up to the S class.

That is a different system alltogether. The ML line is now using DVD MCS, where as the other classes will use COMAND II . I don't know why they just dont use one or the other ... Never understood why they had 2 different systems.

What's the difference between DVD MCS and "Command II"?

It might have to do witht the ML being built in Alabama vs everything else built in Germany. The "Us vs. Them" Syndrome, perhaps?
