upgrading to a CLK500 (from an slk320) ......
buying a CLK500 pretty soon, to upgrade from my SLK... any specific things to look out for? Its either this or an e46 M3.... but I want the benz.
Im looking at the 03 / 04 years..... somethinge for around $30-35K... with lower than 50K miles and well taken care of.
How popular are these cars in "charcoal"??... im having a hard time finding one!..

charcoal isnt a color choice for the clk class... the closest you are going to get will be pewter, on 06 they now offer a color called granite gray.
an 04 should be good (so all the kinks have been worked out of the first year model)
if you are interested, my friend has an 05 white/stone clk500 coupe with 7k miles on it... its a lease for another 14 months but it has a very low payment (you can opt to buy it at the end of the lease but im not sure how much his residual is)
if you need any more info shoot me a pm

I would try to find an 05 with a little bit more miles.
Although, when I was looking at cars...the CLK500 is pretty rare in the used market (at least in my area). There were at most 7 CLK55s and 10 CLK500s at one time. Weird.
