HID for foglights

Bought a set of HID kit for 9006 for fogs... Install is simple, but the kit does not work. Is there anything that needs to be done in terms of programing? I know when the bulb is out, there is no power sent to the fogs... is it not seeing the right load so it gives it no juice? Did any of you guys need to do anything special to get HID to work for your fogs? Thanks...

Hello, Your problem is most likey polarity. You need to reverse the the wire by flipping it over. Now...your goining to tell me that you cant becuase there is a plastic piece inside or outside preventing this. Ok... time to dremel it off. Once you do that you will be good to go.

That's great... if I do that then I can't return these things... but oh well. I'll bet it works because I got your kit after reading your post and it seemed like your HIDs were on . Can you please be a little more specific on where to reverse polarity?

Hey

yes im including a picture of the kit you need where these pieces plug into each other where the plug with the blue on it that goes into the small box. You just need to flip it over, there will be a plastice piece in the way preventing this but jus use a dremel or a knife and cut it out you will then be good to go

2004 CLK500, 78 6.9,
Why is everyone afraid of cutting wires? Just cut off the connectors (with some tail), and do a direct splice, heat-shrink, and waterproof....
