CLK 500
asking about the clk500
hi guys,how r u doing?
i ordered a clk500 and i wanna ask the owners to tell me about that car.i saw 2 niiiiiiice clk500 in here one was black and the other one was silver.
how is the performance,handling,corners and all about that amazing car.

The CLK 500 has exceeded my expectations in all regards (except the stereo system). The handling is excellent and tight, and the power is better than I expected and much better than the CLK430. You will be very pleased with your '500.

I can't recall who posted it, but i think someone once posted a comment about the fact it is difficult to replace the sound system in the clk as it is all intergrated with the command system. I hope this is not the case. Is anyone more educated on the situation?

I believe it is a very bad idea to tamper with the existing stereo system in the CLK due to the optical wiring configuration. It will mess up the system. In addition, if anything ever happened to your stereo system, the dealer will probably not fix it due to the voiding of warranty. For example, on my BMW, there is a little sticker on the windshield indicating that if you tamper with any of their factory installed parts, your warranty will be automatically voided. It goes the same way with my 02 CLK in believed.
