ECU tuning/Speedtuningusa
Hello to all MB drivers. I'm a new member and just wanted to add my experience with Speedtuningusa. I bought a used 2003 clk500 back in june and was let down when i found out that the car had a speed limiter @135. I've been shopping for the solution ever since. I spoke to someone at Powerchip which garranteed me that their ECU programming would remove the limiter for $990.00. Then i heard about Speedtuningusa from someone on this forum and desided to go visit Oliver in Maryland.[ I live in NJ, about 2.5 hours away.]I was also a little skeptical like alot of other people out there,mostly about the horsepower and torque gains ,but after i drove back home later that afternoon i was convinced. The motor was more responsive and i could really feel it pul harder all over the powerband, and the speed limiter was removed. Maybe the best $300.00 i have ever spent.Great deal.

I had the same exact experience with SpeedTuning. Oliver was a great guy, very helpful. The ECU definitely added some hp and tq, like you said its all throughout the entire RPM range. And for 300 bucks you can't beat it. I doubt for the extra 700 you get better results with power chip. Oliver even gave me a custom program (with no increase in price) that makes the engine perform best when I use 98 octane but can be used with 93. I've had the ECU for about 6 months now and I still highly reccomend it.
