Hello all

I was just wondering if anyone knew how the sales tax on leases are calculated in california. In NY the tax is calculated based on the total lease payments while in NJ it is calculated based on the capital reduction of the car (i.e. sale price less residual amount).

Sales tax is calculated on the amount you put down and then you pay the sales tax every month on the monthly payment amount.
