Looking at a CLK550 cab

Our lease is up on the 04 E55, and the wife wants a CLK550 cab. We test drove one at Star in Houston and were pretty impressed - ample rear seat space for storage and child seats, and great power and a nice exhaust note. We are able to negotiate a car at almost invoice with PII, Nav, Keyless, and iPod adapter. Does this seem like a good deal?

You should at least try to get $7000 off total msrp. My friend just purchased one and they took 7 off.

I just leased my CLK 550 cab 2 weeks ago (options: P2 package, sport suspension, DVD Command Navigation, Sirius Radio, and Electronic Trunk Closer) and was able to get $7,000.00 off the MSRP price of $64,225. Keep in mind that the dealers through Jan 2, 2007 are getting a $2,000 trunk fee from the manufacturer to move these cars. Not to mention that the manufacturer is offering the dealers a money factor for December 2006 at a rate of only .0055 or. 1.32%. There are definately deals to be had on CLK's this month.

$7k off is outstanding. Is the money factor of .00055 good for the CLK 550? I thought it was only for the CLK350 coupe?

Yes, the .00055 MF was good on the CLK 550 coupe during December. Now that we are in January, the MF may change.

Its actually $2000 under invoice which is not that bad. I could have gotten a better deal if i needed too. He got the car from south bay mercedes. Sorry for the late response.
