Eibach Pro Kit

Is it just me or does the stock springs on a 2006 CLK350 look too high? Especially the front, there is like over 3 inches of clearance there.

To lower the car, I'm considering Eibach Pro Kit. To the experts here, I have some questions:

- Currently the car looks higher in the front than rear. Will the Eibach springs lower the front more than the rear?

- I've seen recommendations to get struts as well, for handling and because struts will go out quicker. Will my handling degrade if I just install the Eibach springs? Do I really need the Eibach damper kit as well?

Thanks.

I got a set of Brabus springs when I first got my car, and they didn't lower the car much so I replaced them with coilovers. No experience with the Eibachs unfortunately though.

I had the pro kit done on my older BMW and like Frisco said it doesnt lower it much. The sport springs usually lower the car more, you might want to look into them. As far as struts, most people from what Ive seen on the forum, they have just replaced springs. Good luck and cant wait to see some pics. Hope this helps.

I've researched the Eibach Pro Kit alot and the overwhelming majority of owner reviews I've read indicate that the kit lowers the car about 1.2" - 1.5" front and rear and the owners are very happy with the handling, ride, and looks afterwards... I'm planning to go with the Eibach Pro Kit including Sport springs and new shocks and installing it myself... I'd like my CLK 500 to be tighter but not harsh over bumps, etc., corner better and sit lower, especially in front...
