...and my God it's impossible to drive this car slow. This little box has turned me from a careful driver to a teenager in a turbocharged rice rocket.

It may not have added any horsepower, but the seat of your pants power is off the chart. It feels like a 450hp muscle car. If you don't have one on your CLK500/550 yet then order one today, trust me on this. It makes this car more fun than you can imagine.

Best $250 I ever spent.

SPRINTBOOSTER is a device that improves acceleration by continuously measuring and converting the digital signal provided by the electronic throttle potentiometer, and providing the ECM with a new and altered signal.
I had a hard time convincing myself this was for real but after installing it on my car I can tell you it is. The RPMs and the gas pedal feel directly connected now with no annoying delay. Just hit it and go.

I will say it does take some getting used to, but once you are used to it you'll never go back.

Hmmm... Never been too impressed with black box mods... What's invovled in the install...? You certainly seem impressed... I just sold a 425 horse C5
Z06 Corvette and I can't imagine my CLK's 302 V-8 performing like the Z06 motor with just a black box mod... Although it would certainly be a welcome improvement...

One 10mm bolt under the gas pedal, drop the whole assembly out, unplug it, then plug the Sprint Booster between them. Took me about 20 minutes because I couldn't find the bolt, once I knew what to do it was only 5 minutes of work. FYI it's under a cover directly underneath the pedal in kind of a PITA spot. You'll probably need an extension to get to it.

Anyways I have a C5 myself (coupe, no Z ) with some mods and the throttle response feel in the chipped CLK is better IMO. I'm not saying you'll be able to smoke a Z06 but it's a HUGE improvement over stock.
