ECU chip upgrade & Air filter

Do any of you guys who have been installed ECU chip & Air filter for better performance know good website or sales shop?

As far as I know, when you upgrade ECU chip, it is better to change air filter at the same time. Is this right?

Thank you

Not an expert but it would seem to make sense considering most ECU upgrades re-map the fuel characteristics. Getting more air into the engine with a high perf air filter should be beneficial... Since the air filter is such a easy thing to do, I'd almost do the ECU first and then the air filter just to see how much difference each makes on its own... YMMV...

Is the ECU they need the Serial Number off of located on the drivers side under hood with all the fuses and electrical connectors...? When I recently tapped into the cigar lighter circuit for my heated seats power source, I remember having to remove what looked like a silver box with 4 large electrical connectors on the top of it so I could run the lead wires inside the car... I'm assuming this is the ECU, yes...?
