Clk/bose "automatic" Volume
From what I understand there are three systems that control the stereo volume:
1. The manuel volume control
2. The auto pilot (?) that controls the volume relative to the cabin noise. This is supposed to be un-noticable (but isn't).
3. A speed dependent system that makes the system softer as you slow down.
Systems number 2 & 3 are a pain in the ***. I took my "500" to the dealer because I was told that they could go into the computer and turn this "feature" off. The voulume kept dropping when ever I would slow to a stop, so I took the car back to the dealer. The service Manager told me that the system was already off from the first time (confirmed by computer) that I brought it in for this "problem". The "problem" persists..........
Does anyone have any experience with this. I hesitate to replace the entire sustem (though I know I can make it sound alot better) because of the interconnection with the steering wheel, dash display and CD changer.

I have the clk 500 and my volume never goes down? But does anyone know how to make it louder? My 96 trans am stereo is louder on most songs, but not as clear as the Bose.
Let me know. Can an AMP be added seperately without changing anything else?
