hey guys i jus picked up a stock 05 clk500 and i was jus wondering what are some basic performance upgrades that i should start out with, and like good reliable brands that make them, srry its such a newbie question itss just so hard for me to find stuff.

Try Renntech or Kleemann Both Great for performance Mods

 

You can do everything I did...
Green Air Filters, Eisenmann Exhaust (or straight pipe), SpeedTuningUSA ECU upgrade, 75 shot of Nitrous Oxide. That combined will get you over 400hp. If you go with a cheap supersprint exhaust or straightpipe or something, the whole setup should cost you about $3000. Kleeman has some nice headers too. Evosport sells a pulley for about $300.

If you want to go all out, go with a full Kleeman setup. It'll run you about $15G's, but you'll be running 11 sec 1/4 miles.

Depends on how much money your looking to burn. Rentech and Kleeman are good, but are hella expensive. If your looking for a great gain in power,performance, and drivablity without spending an arm and a leg, i'd go with performance software. Powerchip in Los Angeles has the great pricing and the gains are fantastic.
