Hubcentric Wheel Adapters

Has anyone ever heard of or used Hubcentric wheel adapters?
I'm looking at some staggered 18"rims to replace my 17" ones. The place that sells them says I'll need Hubcentric wheel adapters which they have(NOT SPACERS) for the front wheels do the large brake calipers on my CLK500. They said they guarantee a flawless ride.
These wheels come from Eurotech in California the link to the wheels is below.
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm not sure if I should mess around with new rims or just keep my stock amg ones.

Thanks

Are they talking about hubcentric rings or adapters?

The rings would imply that bolt pattern is for your car but there is a space between the wheel and the hub.

The other means stay away from it completely. See if they will send a picture of what they are talking about.

I think this link above is what the wheel company is talking about?
Although I'm pretty sure I won't go in that direction.
Thanks
