When the "new" Clk first came out in 2003, there were TONS of skipping and studdering and noise problems. MB came out with a TSB and the solution was simply bending the wiper arm in just the right way to change the angle of the wiper.
You might want to ask your dealer. I think many of them have gotten pretty good at solving these problems because of the huge number of complaints.
