2002 CLK 55 AMG Coupe ;)
Friend of mine, from Northern VA did it last year.

Must be set up through the US MB dealer, who will receive it, before you get it in the US, -- after you take delivery in Stuttgart and use it for a European vacation. Everything went like clockwork, incl. hotel stays, factory tour...

It is to be considered with a European vacation only. There are several cities in Europe to drop-off car after vacation, then a couple weeks later your dealer in US calls you that it is ready for you and America.

Do you know how much he'd have saved, if he were to buy from local dealer ?

You don't get a European delivery in order to save.

You get it to have free transportation while vacationing in Europe, combined with MB driving pleasure and to experience a MB factory tour and MB efficiency.

As I pointed out:

"It is to be considered with a European vacation only."

See your MB dealer for details!

European Delivery

I am scheduled to pick up my car on the 8th of Nov. in Stuttgart. There is however saving. The saving is that you do not have to pay for the destination charge of $665 you normally would if the car is picked up at the dealer in the US. This is at least what the invoice I received for MB said.
