I just saw a pic of a euro CLK and it appears to have a manual transmission!!! Not the "fake" touch-shift we have here in the US, but a real honest-to-God manual with a clutch you press down with your foot and EVERYTHING!!!

Did my eyes deceive me? What current CLK models can you get with a manual transmission? Is it 5-speed or 6?

You probably saw the picture of my car...
I dont know for the new model, mine it's a 2.7 CDI (turbo diesel intercooled) and has a 6 gear manual gearbox, with the "clutch you press down with your foot" and i have to admit, is great...

p.s.
I hate automatic or tiptronic transmission, so till i can avoid it i prefere manual...

 

Yes only the European spec V6 or 4cyl s had the manual box...

I have yet to find a V8 clk with a manual trans

 

Thanks for the responses. It was the pic of the CDI I saw. As you probably know, we can't get the manual on either CLK model here and they offer no diesel.

It was the toughest decision I had to make when I bought my CLK. I was trading in a BMW 330i with 5-speed and I loved its handling and speed. Wasn't sure if I could give up shifting even though I loved the CLK. In the end, that's how I ended up with the 500 and not the 320.
