Is the V8 engine worth it??

hi

can anyone(based on their own exprience) tell me how much
1. CLK 320
2. CLk 500

with these setup cost OUT THE DOOR(sales,lux,gas guzzler...etc)
-K3
-K4
-brilliant silver/ash
-factory cd changer

im currently confused which one to take....if the price difference is not that high i will take the CLK500 beacuse if i decide to take the 320 i will surely buy AMG bodykitand 19" rims which will cost $3000......and that makes the price gap even smaller

any help will be appreciated
thanks

clk 500
btw, mentally im still trying to break the car in. got only 350 miles on it. and as far as i can tell, the power is there.
i test drove another 500, and it moved.
i previously owned a 330ci, and i can already tell the difference in power.

Basicaly, IN MY OPINION

you really dont have to buy V8 engine just for the sake of the number 500 !! However, I do know that it is faster and albeit more sporty. What I mean is, If you have spare cash and you like to pamper yourself more then go ahead and buy CLK500 but if not, don't !

PS Take my advice

Hope this helps !

no no.....im not looking for prestige
i want some power ...power

i have tried my bro c320 and its not that fast

btw im also thinking of getting an AMG bodykit and 19" rim which will cost around 3000 plus maybe another 1000 for painting and install....

if i dont plan on getting amg bodykit , i will surely get the 320....

as i plan to get those stuffs,,,which the 500 already have...and it makes the price gap even smaller right?thats why i m confused

and now i want to know how much a 500 with K3,K4,brillian silver and cd changer cost.....i estimate it will be 60,000 out the door

as for the 320 i know it will be 52,000
but plus the AMG bodykit and 19'rims it will be 52000+3000+1000 painting and install

so 500 = 60,000(my estimation.....please correct me)
320 = 56,000

isnt it worth it to buy the 500 instead?
is my estimate correct?
thanks....if its correct i will get the 500

please help me thanks

Is that serious to you ?
CLK320 is definitely slower than C320.
If so, V8 is the answer, BTW C32AMG is even faster & cheaper.

How fast can you drive on highways ?

Speeding = endangering everybody's lives => tickets => Jail !
Furthermore, you need to buy high end radar detectpr/ jammer.

Originally planned to get capri blue w / stone interior, but changed to charcoal/silver based on my uncertaintly of the aluminum trim w/ the stone interior b/c of the appearance package.

========================================
atl2nyc,
did you mean $49835 out-the-door?
========================================

Not sure what you mean by "out the door." But the negotiated price for my vehicle, (i.e- the amount that will be paid to the dealer by either the loan company or the lessor depending on wheter I lease or buy) is $49835. That doesn't include NJ sales tax which is 6% for the county in which I live, but as the sales tax is factored different based on a purchase vs. a lease, I left that figure out.

That $49835 figure includes all the options listed in my previous note. If this is not what you were asking, please clarify, and I will do my best to more accurately answer your question.

I am still not sure if I am going to buy or lease, but don't have to decide that until the vehichle arrives.

If I lease, I plan on doing so for 15k miles/yr. Residuals for the 2003 clk 320 at 15k miles/yr is 68% That number has held constant for the past couple of months, and don't see it falling anytime soon....that is, unless as rumored, they uprgrade the engine from 3200 to 3500cc for the next model year. Also current money factors for mercedes benz's credit arm are at 0.00285, which is pretty decent for a lease. Given the high residual and relatively low money factor, it makes leasing a very attractive option.
