Best Tires for '03 CLK500
I'd like some recommendations for tires that will get abused driving through DC potholes in the city, but also be a smooth ride out on the highway for my weekend driving. Any suggestions?

I'm not too sure if the type of tire you have will make much of a difference when you hit a pothole. Your bigger concern should be the potential damage to your wheel. And to that end, the larger your tire sidewall height, the better off you will be. But of course the taller the sidewall height, the smaller the wheel diameter, and the worse your call will look.
I had 18s up in the NYC area and regarless of tire type, Yokos, Bridgestones, etc., the roads showed my wheels no mercy.
