question about clk as a baby transport

Well, the stork will be here in a couple of months. Does anyone have any experience with the practicality using the CLK to tote a newborn around? I am wondering if the lack of rear doors will make things overly difficult. We've got an RX too, but I don't want to be restricted to the option of only one car when it comes to getting around.

I cringe at the thought of a 4 door sedan, but if it has to be, then so be it. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

thanks....

I have triplets that are almost 5. Just got my CLK 550 and the love it, though I am not sure I would have if they were not able to get in and out themselves. I am just ordering the special MB booster seat for the front seat that will disable the airbag on the passenger seat, so I can take all three out at the same time.

I also have an R500 for most of the time though as they will get alittle cramped if the drive was too long.

I purchased the CLK500 because we had our first child last year. I had an '05 Corvette before that.

It's pretty easy to get her in and out of the CLK.... Not as easy as the SUV but it's not bad with the way that the CLK's seats tilt forward.

Opening the rear window with the remote also helps. Sometimes I remove her NASCAR style !

the back seats will easily fit a baby seat. Usually need to roll down rear windows to put those removable baby carrier/seats in place when the baby is under 6 months.

Just got to be careful when driving with baby on board...can't do sudden accelerations because of whiplash effect on baby.

Guys thanks for the feedback. I am feeling much better now. I especially like the NASCAR baby extraction method.
