Arrow Mileage and Gas Consumption

How is the gas consumption on your clk500?
Mine is pretty bad. I haven't reset the trip info and mine's @~14.5 mpg. I read from another thread that the consumption would be better after the car's broken in, but I ran about 2200mi so far. Maybe my car wasn't broken in properly. (hit 130mph after about 200mi)

And why is the gas tank so small?? I usually get about 200mi with full tank after I have to stop for another pump. In NJ, it costs about $25 to fill up, while it's about $35~38 to fill up an S500.

How do your cars compare to mine??

Unhappy

Not economic, either.
W/supercharge is around 15 L/100km, ? mpg.
Tank volume is equal to W203/C.

When you hit 130 MPH, did you reach the limiter or shutoff. According to Mercedes USA, top end on the CLK-500 [ U.S. version] is 130. I thought it would be 155.

When I hit 130 the limiter did not kick in, but I do not know what the top speed is limited at.

Shine... 100km for 15L hmm...
100km~62mi
15L~4g
=> 15.4mpg

wow better than mine then...

reminds me of one thing... when I asked my father (an old school car expert himself )about breaking in a new car, he said that even if I drive my car very hard from the beginning, it won't hurt the performance of the car that much. However he said that it might hurt the gas consumption of the car...
