500 grille for 320

hi i just recently purchased an 03 clk320coupe.

by searching i've discovered that the 320's have the grey grille
and the 500's have the black one.

i really like the black one, i just feel it'll flow better with the setup i plan on having.

is this an easy swap? do i purchase the 500 grille from the dealer?

im sure some of you 320 owners have done this.
i couldnt find any threads that discussed this so any input would be great.
thanks

right the slants on the front grill are grey for the clk320.

on the 500 they are black. i'd like to make mine black.

what is the most convenient route to take to achieve this?

well there's the option of buying one from the dealer which costs a lot or.. you can sand em down yourself and give em a spray of primer then paint and then clearcoat it yourself, just becareful if you decide to do this though

Did this on mine just the other week - got the black grille off ebay. Takes about 2 minutes to change, though it helps having the new one to hand to see where to prod the clips on the underside.
