I hope to make some new friends here and learn a ton about my new CLK.

I have read alot on these forums about tuning my car. It seems most prefer Kleemann. this manufacturer offer the the best value?

But what about others like Lorinser, Carlsson, Fab-Design?

My second question is about the order of upgrades. I was thinking of doing the ECU and Kleeman Kompressor first. Will I need to change anything else to take advantage of these upgrades (for instance, will stock tires, exhaust be OK until I save up some more $$$.)

Wow starting with the big ones first aye?... Hrmmm a supercharger for your car will cost right around 15k w/install... And an ECU tune... You can go for a Renntech one or a custom one done for you at a shop you go to... And as for value... Theres not much of that in the Benz World hahaha... Everythings twice as expensive hahahaha... Well yeah i have the same car as you so i've done my hw... Don't try and make it too fast hahahaha because it just wont be a "FAST" car period... Unless you spend a huge amount of money... And even then it wont be the fastest on the road... But if you want a quick fix try some nos ... I actually have a wet-kit and im considering putting it in now... - O and yeah your stock tires and exhaust should be fine... The Contis arent that bad... There not great either hahahaha... But they should be enough if your not doing nething to crazy... PC

 

No replacement for displacement. Save your money and buy a 550. It will be expensive modding the CLK.

Yeah...you should have started with a 55 or 550...or AMG...not worth modding a 350 IMHO (of course the 350 is my wifey's)
