Hello W209 owners,
I'm a new member here at mbworld and i'm looking to buy a 2003-04 CLK320. I was wondering what the common problems are on this vehicle.. I know nothing about mercedes vehicles.. It's my first benz and i would like to know what the reliability issues are, any of your feedback would be appreciated!
Also some really nice modified CLKS! love them keep up the good work!

I had some issues with my xenon headlights, I had to take it in about 5 or 6times to get my driver side light working. They never ever could isolate the problem but it finally went away when they replaced the entire headlight assembly.
Aside from that I had no issues when I had my 320. It was an '03.
Just to be safe though, may sure you get the car thorougly checked out beforehand and get an extended warranty - because if something does go wrong, it won't be cheap to get it fixed.

2004 CLK 240
I'm also new to MB, and I took the plunge last year and bought a fully loaded 2004 CLK. I'm a 'keeper', so I'm hoping that we will be together for at least 10 years.
Initially I was shocked by the number of gizmos that are inside the car to deal with windows & seat movements, etc, but so far everything is working as it should. I think that a variety of issues with the W208 have been resolved on the W209. Performance, running costs, and handling are all up to my expectations.
The only drawback I have encountered is that rear seat entry is a tad difficult for those not very agile! But it's a 2-door coupe, so I expect that.
If you have a few tools and don't mind getting your hands dirty you will be able to do A & B services yourself, and save a fortune at MB dealerships.
I'd say, go for it!
