05 clk500 convert or 05 545i??
whats a bigger head turner for girls out of these two cars..i know with the top down the clk500 probalbey but what about in the winter with the top up?? i like how the 545 is bigger but theres alot more bmws which is why i think sometiems the benz will stick out more.. what you guys think/

I'm with the CLK500 Convertible. Although the 545i might be faster, the CLK has a more classic look and will hold up in value better than the BMW.
The real question is '08 CLK550 Coupe or '08 BMW 650i Coupe?!

i really like the hard-top, so 5 points for BMW
but then, i like a quiter ride too, so 5 points for CLK
and since, CLK shape is changing for 09, -1 points for CLK
and well, since the price of BMW is cheaper too, i'd say go for it!

with that in mind, i'd say: get your priorities/interests lined up first.
You like BMW, buy BMW
you like convertible, buy a convertible,
you are torn between the two, i'd say get convertible-hard top.
So from my perspective, i chose CLK soft-top, cause:
good looks: 5 points for CLK
hard top: 5 points for BMW convertible-hard top
quieter ride: 5 points for CLK
price: 2 points for BMW
and ladies 'n gentlemen, the winner was CLK

CLK 500 Cabriolet and A160L
I've had 2 SLK and 2 CLK (Cab). I also had a Golf Cab.
The retractable hard top is practical OK, but I prefer 1000 times the look of the beautiful CLK soft top.
That car is only for week ends and holidays. It is parked in a garage and never "sleeps" on the street. I love convertibles because I love driving with the top down, but also because the way the look with the top up. And from that point of view, you can't beat a canvas top.

I gotta agree with James. That soft top is just classic. God forbid MB pops a hard top retractable on the new CLK and ends up with a Sebring!
But then again, nobody knows retractable hardtops like MB.
