Multiple malfunctions
Just bought a 2004 CLK500 with only about 15,000 miles. Having it only about 2 weeks i have experienced some issues. I started getting a malfunction with the SRS so I brought it to an authorized service dealer. It took them 3 days but they said that the wiring under the dash for the passenger airbag needed to be replaced and they did say that was quite strange for such a young car.
I picked the car up yesterday and driving to work today I get a new malfunction related to the telaid SOS.
This seems more than coincidental.
Possibly a computer problem. I had a toyota 4runner and did get some glitches and would basically reboot by disconnecting the battery...anything similar on the benz?
Any advice is welcome....SRS problem cost me $400 so I am hesitant to take it back right now.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

it could well be out of warranty, for e.g. if purchase date being July/Aug 2003.
As to these malfunctions you report; I'd well first have an overall inspection of the car: is it coming out of a severe accident, flooded etc. (and carfax reports only catch, if the incident was reported to authorities ... which is not always the case). If this is the case, the dealer that sold the car, could be held liable, and in certain cases even a private party (depending on state you live) ... good luck and keep us informed what you find.
