Big pressure to me ! I'd like to writeup my thoughts.....
SL55 is so famous a performer w/test reports everywhere , faster to 190 mph than Porsche GT2 really impress me & many other enthusiasts.
9 hours later, we'll match each other, rolling start to Vmax
(open straight road & no traffic, of course)
I feel big pressure as I said
How about that owner of SL55 ? he stands even more !!!
The whole world knows about the queen, only few ppl like him
gets some idea about CLK50K,a tough rival he's never met before.
He practiced launch, kickdown....the last whole week.
I enjoy the amazing acceleration of CLK50K, far faster than my C32, 2~3 car length I can pull from C32 in a short sprint(60 mph)after that till 120 mph,C32 can't see my tail lights .....
Same with him,his ex-996 turbo wan't matched SL55,either.
A tough guy !
Stay tuned.....

Gentlemen , here comes the result !
We're even !![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
I was in the front, give the signal to start, two cars rolling out
by 3 car length gap. He tailgated me all the way to e-limit
(162 mph), believe me, time to 162 is very quick , the distance needed less than a mile.
Delimited CLK50K then walked away, I slowed down due to
a little rain & the road was wet. 160 -> 180 mph was smooth, no big deal to me.
Both we slow down to 160, an Alpina B10 (bi-turbo)/BMW, claims
420 hp.passed us, I decided to test my top speed & hunt that Alpina B10.
rpm fast swift to 5700,58...6000, redline of my car, the theoretic
top speed 197 mph was reached
, Alpina was overtook
he's running his top speed 185~190 when I past.
We changed the car, I drove the SL55
, guys ! this car is amazing, fully isolation, you can't tell the speed, wind noise or
feedback from the road, very comfortable one. is it a sport car ?
or a luxury coupe, it behaves like the latter.
My friend (owner of SL55)told me, CLK50K is as fast as his one
he feels the similar strong power, thanks for his compliment.
p.s Full throttle,ESP off, tire still spins in 1,2 gear, which stop me to time the quarter mile sprint.unless I find qualified pavement.
We're even !

Another minor story, on the way home
E46/M3 SMG-II & C32 followed me,I let both of them past first, then killed these two, the speed to pull away reflects we're in different league.

should be around 4.3" for CLK50K
W/ultralight rotors & one size down rims(lighter), mine could be faster,no official test data so far.
In short sprint, Modena is a matched rival.
Time to 150+ mph, those 500 hp league even outperform the Porsche GT2(462 hp), really sorry for 400 hp Modena, anyway
it's a piece of art, a collection for the Rich, never a commuter like CLK.

I know 560 HP beast does sound good! Just need to get back on my feet, start saving money, I hope that by april next year I'll have that s/c on the car.
I'm afraid to make comments like this, because when I had the Impala SS I was planning on redoing the engine from a 350 to a stroker 383, I was about a month away from my engine mod day, instead of doing that I changed the Impala SS for the E55

No solid schedule so far.
Once Kleemann successfully promotes their retrofitted AMG55 w/640 hp, it'll be an interesting story.
AMG 476 or Kleemann 640 ? your decision.

p.s
If BMW prepare their new V10 M-power at around 500+ hp.

Shine, have you had that car dyno'ed yet? I'd be interested to see what you are getting at the rear wheel. I'd be surprised if Kleemann can get 640 hp out of the 5.5 engine w/o significantly increasing the current boost... but, thus far they have lived up to their claims.

They are getting the 640 by raising the boost. Since the 55k's come with motors built to handle the boost, Kleemann runs .9 bar rather than the .5 bar on yours and mine. Their kit includes a new SC and intercooler.

We prepared 75(stock),70,65 mm pulley set for different boost.
(1)There's no much room for Aftermarket Kleemann kompressor to boost up to 0.9 bar.
(2)AMG enhenced motors afford higher boost than our NA motors.
I believe a special treatment doable for boostup NA motors
upto 0.8+ bar, Does that your plan to do ?
