contemplating purchase/lease of 2005 CLK500 w/ high km's

hey everyone,

I recently came across an unbelievable deal on a 2005 CLK 500, but upon closer inspection I quickly realized the catch - it has done a little over 70,000 KM. Now my initial thoughts were that this car was just run into the ground by its previous owner and I should just walk away. But after much back and forth on the subject I'm starting gain a different perspective. One plus is that the manufacturer warranty is still intact for 2 more years along with the fact that I dont plan on keeping it for more than a year.

Now i'm not sure what my immediate concerns should be with a purchase of this type. Would the car be difficult to sell or will I be taking a huge hit on the resale price due to the km's if i decide to sell the car a year later (or if i lease - break the lease within a year)?

Would appreciate any insights or perspectives you guys may have to offer

Thanks!

just to add, this would be my first mercedes purchase, let alone my first major car purchase! Not sure how well MB's stand in the resale market with high mileage.

Appreciate any advice

thanks

try Kelley Blue Book (www.kbb.com) to get an idea of what mileage will do to value.

Mercedes
Don't do it. The maintenance costs will be horrible.
