Was this a good deal?

I leased the car on 10/31 and I got the following deal

08' CLK 350 Cab
P2
P90
Nav
Heated Seats
Keyless Go
Wood Steering Wheel
IPod
Phone system with Bluetooth puck

27 month lease $1244.15 drive off and $652.35 + sales tax with 7500 miles per year.

it seems pretty good to me. What price did you pay for the car?
To put in perspective heres the deal I got
2008
P1
Navigation + iPod (prob standard by now)

I put 3k down, and 500 a month with tax 10k miles. Got the car for 4200 under MSRP. So with tax your around 700 a month w/ less drive off, cab, and more options. I feel you got a good deal.

MSRP Sticker on the car was $63530 without the phone and the lease contract shows that I financed $55280(Car) + $2400(phone) + $1095 lease acquisition fee for a total of $58775

I was told the phone was $2400 installed as the CLK did not have the phone computer installed at the factory thus they required the following a phone computer, a finishing kit and bluetooth puck + labor which made that option $2400.

Yeah after tax my lease payment is $706.17

I had to take the 27 month lease also MB had a special only on the 27 month lease which made that lease much cheaper than 36 or 39 which both were over $850 per month after tax on the same car.

I was told the reason 27 month lease was much cheaper is because with 7500 miles a year money factor was 0.0015 and residual was 71% vs 36 month lease had 0.0020 money factor and 58% residual and 39 month leases were 0.0025 and 50% residual.

yes the 27 month lease was much cheaper than the rest. better for me, less money and less time with the car = quicker i get a new car
but again 700 for a fully loaded cab isnt too bad, esp since its 27 months and minimal drive off. did that include first months payment? (im assumign it did)

Yeah my drive off included only first month lease payment and registration fee's. So I really only have to make 26 more payments too. I gave the dealer a $1k deposit and ordered a 2010 350 CLK Cab. By putting the deposit down dealer told me I am guaranteed worse case scenario at sticker and of coarse depending on market conditions I might be able to get a discount. Deposit is fully refundable if I don't like the new body. He said if I did not put a deposit down on the new car now he could not guarantee I could get one with the equipment and color I want at sticker as more than likely the new body will be selling for over sticker for the first year or two like the last 2 bodies did.

So I figure the dealer gave me a good deal on this car knowing he will able to sell me another car in 27 months which more than likely will have more profit than this car did for him.

If you do a search on the forum, you'll find a few posts already on this topic that might give you some additional perspective.

I am not sure what the lease rates are right now, but based on my experience, it may be a tad on the high side, especially given the mileage.

Important thing though is that you are happy with the deal you got. Someone will always be able to find a better deal, so you gotta make sure you are comfortable with the numbers when you sign the paper.

Congrats on the new ride. Enjoy!

math151 My last 2 CLK had less than 10k miles when I returned them after 36 months. So I am not worried about the 7500 miles per year.

atl2nyc Only I posted this thread was when I search last CLK Cab I saw a price posted for was for one back in April which is right before the summer starts so I figured that person might have paid a premium based on the time he purchased it.

I'm paying $727 a month w/ taxes up front. Car listed for $64,500 made the deal at $57,500 w/ 7,500 per year for 39mo.
