My understanding is that they are not identical underneath (where it counts for this mod). There is additional bracing on the conv. It can still be done, just not the way phatisfy did it.

Hey I tried to use your part number for the back bumper with the dual cut outs... the guy at the MB Dealership could not locate it. He said it was missing some characters. Can you check that for me. Also, where did you get the tips? I have a 03 500 that I want to do the same to. Thanks

You are right about the uneven airflow on your system.
You should have placed the muffler in the middle right after the cats,and run pipes from the muffler to each side of the Car.

please can everyone stop saying that its hard to do a dual or even quad exhaust on a 500. I did it on mine...
its a true dual setup... i have removed the resonator.. and put in high flow mufflers where the resonator used to be.. all linked up to amg tips
since i have done this mod the car gets loads of attention.. people wanna race all the time.. ha!

I have the magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 14267. Also some of the forum sponsors selling magnaflow usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great cat, sounds great, and very easy to install.

Honestly brotha we need a video I can't belive Mercedes made these great cars single exhaust dual looks. Soo much better and just RIGHT great job man and thx for sharing cuz I'm deff taking all your info.. And giving it to my mech... And copying it lol great job
